Staff very welcoming, and even though I arrived before noon, they had a nice room ready for me. I really appreciated the decor - the carpeting in the hallways a vibrant modern floral design, the wallpaper very cheerful and amusing. Large bathroom with lots of room and space to put my toiletries. The rack for hanging clothes was very convenient. I also appreciated the wool-type blanket at the end of the bed. Everything seemed high quality. Room was quiet. I liked that there were different areas where the guest could choose where to sit at breakfast.

Maison Barbillon is a very convenient, short walking distance from the train and bus stations, and an easy walking distance into Grenoble's city centre. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the facilities are great. I loved the machine in the reception/breakfast area that was available 24/7 to make coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The breakfast buffet was delicious and fueled me easily for the whole day. My room was small, but very comfortable. I'd happily stay there again anytime and certainly recommend.

Nice, comfortable hotel. Had a pleasant, hop, vibe. Might be part of a chain but doesn't feel like it. The staff was friendly and efficient. The hotel is a few steps from the main train station. The room had all the necessary basics--towels, soap, etc. It also had a decent TV with a couple English stations showing movies, which was a nice break. Breakfast was very nice and there was coffee and cake available in the afternoon for a snack.

Strategically located near the main station and just 10 minutes from the inner city. Friendly staff and decent breakfast. Internet works fine. Rooms are clean. They also provided us free parking for one night in the garage.

We spent two nights and felt very comfortable in this small and homey hotel. It had everything you needed. The location is excellent for discovering the city. The hotel offers a parking space for very little. The breakfast was great. We were able to have our dog with us. There are some good restaurants right around the area. I would choose this place again upon my next return to Grenoble.

The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choices, everything we tried was good. The location near the train station made it convenient to get anywhere using public transportation.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was plentiful and diverse. Tea and coffee are available free all day. The bed was very comfortable and the room was a good size. Overall it was excellent value for money. We only had a one night stay but I would have been happy to stay there for several days.

Maison Barbillon Grenoble is a comfortable hotel near the train station and within easy walking distance of the city. It has air conditioning and an elevator which were both appreciated after long walks throughout the summer days. It is also conveniently close to grocery stores like Utile and several fine restaurants. A lovely location for a great value.

The property was in a perfect location, a very quick walk to the train station and a 15 minute walk to centre-ville. But most importantly, the hospitality of the staff was incredible. I was able to leave my baggages after check out and the staff were extremely considerate, patient, and understanding. Awesome stay and definitely recommend.

It was perfect. The hotel is located in the vicinity of the main station, but it is very quietly located in a smaller street. The staff is extraordinarily friendly. Hot drinks and small snacks are available during the day.
